Manuel Rivera Garza has been CEO since April 2019. He has held different positions in the management and top management of multi-industry companies, served as the CEO of a global auto parts company. Mr. Rivera graduated as Industrial Engineer from ITESM and also holds a master's degree from Stanford University.
Mr. Jorge Mercado has been Chief Financial Officer of Grupo Industrial Saltillo since April 1, 2018. He is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the Company.
His capabilities as CFO and VP of Finance include both the private and public markets. In the private sector, Mr. Mercado has collaborated with Grupo Bepensa, Advent International, Grupo Gayosso, Telefónica, Bancomer and Grupo Bal in which he achieved significant top line growth, improved profit and cash flow generation, and secured financing for acquisitions.
Mr. Mercado holds a Cum Laude Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and an MBA focused on Finance and Strategic Planning from Walter A. Haas School of Business and University of California at Berkeley. He was founder of the Ibero-American Business Group at Hass.
Ricardo Sandoval, has been the Housewares Director since April 2011, formerly working as Commercial Director in the same division, position that he had held since 2001. Mr. Sandoval joined GIS in 1990, working in the Housewares division and holding, among others, the positions of Kitchenware Business Director, Operations Manager, Plant Manager and Logistics and Programming Manager, etc. He is an Industrial Production Engineer from Instituto Tecnólogico de Saltillo and possesses a Master in Administration from UANL. He is also certified in Top Management, D2 from IPADE.
Jorge Rada, Global Director of GIS Automotive Business Units since May 1, 2016, is Mechanical and Administration Engineer from Tec de Monterrey 1986, with an MBA from same school in 1991.
His global career in the automotive business, leadership, change management and cultural diversity are a great fit for globalization. After 4 years in Cigarrera La Moderna in logistics, Jorge spent 25 years in Alfa y Nemak, Global leader of aluminum components for the automotive industry.
Between 1991 and 2000 he performed several managerial roles in Nemak México in the areas of strategic planning, commercial, new products, purchasing and HR. Since 2000, Jorge held positions in different regions around the world: Nemak General Manager in Czech Republic, 2000 to 2005; Administration and Finance Director Nemak Europe based in Germany, 2005 to 2007; Nemak South America General Manager based in Brazil, 2007 to 2010; Asia BU Director and Business Development, 2010 to 2016.
César Cárdenas has been the General Director of Cinfunsa since December of 2016 and previously the Water Heaters Director, he worked as General Manager at EB Técnica Mexicana (ELKAY), and as Operations Director at Grupo Alianza-Valores 3C, position which he held for 5 years. Mr. Cardenas has wide experience in the water heaters and ceramic tiles industries. Between 1995 and 2008, he worked as Commercial Director at Vitromex and as Water Heaters Director at Grupo Industrial Saltillo. Graduated as an Industrial and Systems Engineer from ITESM, and holds the Top Management, AD2 from IPADE.
Mr. Raúl Velasco has more than 20 years of experience in the Food Industry in different roles including Leadership, Sales, Product Development, Marketing, Supply Chain. He worked for Kraft Foods México at top positions for more than 10 years and at Tyson de Mexico for 5 years in different executive roles. It has proven skills to deliver results, identifying business opportunities, developing and implementing new initiatives.
